Stephen Roach is a Director and Cinematographer with over 20 years of experience behind the camera.  Stephen started his career as an Editor and over time quickly moved into Cinematography and eventually Directing which became his real passion.  Stephen is unique in the film industry; he not only does the Cinematography but also directs from behind the Camera as well.  Starting out as an editor, enabled Stephen to overtake those who had just studied camera operating as Stephen is not only able to shoot superb compositions, but he is also able to superbly shoot for the edit as well. 

Stephen is recognised for a diverse array of projects the true life British Crime Drama Cookster: The Darkest Days (2023), the epic Sci Fi Dystopian feature film Gods of Their Own religion (2022) the crime drama Thirteen Cars (2023), the fantasy drama ILL Fares The Land (2023) as well as the award winning Queen of Diamonds (2019), the multi award winning In2ruders (2018) and Brash Young Turks (2016) which won Best UK Film at the 2016 Movie Video & Screen Awards (MVISA).  Stephen has also been nominated for Best Cinematography at the 2018 Birmingham Film Festival for In2ruders (2018). Stephen has also filmed in many locations and environments around the world from the UK, Europe, USA, Middle East & UAE, India & Vietnam.

Steven and Dennis’s latest film, ‘Cookster The Darkest Days’, has been nominated by the London Independent Film Festival in their feature films category.
